Hello all,

I'm wondering if any of you have limits on circulation of materials
based on date of publication? I'm interested in items in your open
stacks, not just rare book collections.

Is there a set date that you use? e.g., books published prior to 1850
don't circulate.

If you've got this kind of rule, does it apply to all types of patrons?
Does the rule apply to all of your libraries? If exceptions can be
made, what is the basis for the exceptions?

I'd appreciate anyone willing to share.

Thanks in advance for your help,

Andrea
