We had a difficult 8th grade group and so I ended the year with them using novels from the Bluford Series.  They are ordered from Townsend Press for $1.00 per copy.  The kids loved them and I am talking about kids who don't normally read on their own.  Urban situations, bullying, gangs, etc. Google Townsend Press and find the information.

Is anyone using blogs with their elementary or middle school students?  How?  Through with host?

Also, I am looking for some really great middle school units/lessons for next school year.
