Does anyone have DDC 22 and LCSH that I could borrow over the summer? I would like to do some cataloging/recatalog my collection and need the tools.

I can pick them up and drop them off.

I am very interested in setting up a blog as someone else said, to cut down on reproducing. I guess I really don't see the difference between and blog and a website. I have already asked Lisa Perez and I am pretty sure professional development is coming.

I am not currently using blogs with our middle or high school students, but I know that our new e-mail program, FirstClass, allows one to create and publish a blog online.

Best,
Paula

Is anyone using blogs with their elementary or middle school students? How? Through with host?

Also, I am looking for some really great middle school units/lessons for next school year.

Thank you in advance for any ideas or information.

I would also be interested in this. I do not know how to do it but we have Gaggle accounts for all our 7th and 8th grade students and this might be a fun thing. What about monitoring it? Gaggle shuts students out for certain language.

We had a difficult 8th grade group and so I ended the year with them using novels from the Bluford Series. They are ordered from Townsend Press for $1.00 per copy. The kids loved them and I am talking about kids who don't normally read on their own. Urban situations, bullying, gangs, etc. Google Townsend Press and find the information.
