[CPSLibraries] Second Life Workshop cancellation

Dear Librarians:
 
The face-to-face training on the use of the virtual reality environment "Second Life", that was scheduled for next Tuesday at National Louis University is cancelled.  We have just been notified by the Illinois State Library that we will be receiving a grant to develop a CPS Dept of Libraries virtual island within Second Life.  There will be future opportunities for workshop training within that project later in the year.  Stay tuned for more information in upcoming months.
 
For those who are inclined, please refer to our department calendar at our website for upcoming monthly orientations within Second Life.  This type of online training will be most successful for those who are intermediate to advanced technology users.
