Dear CPS Librarians:
This is a reminder that we will be hosting our first learning community
meeting of the school year in Second Life on Tuesday, September 16 at
8pm ET/ 7pm CT/ 6pm MT/ 5pm PT for one hour. This is a joint meeting
between the AASL and ISTE SIGMS communities. This month's topic is "Web
2.0 Technologies and the Library". The meeting will be co-facilitated
by Joyce Valenza - library information specialist, author of
TheNeverEnding blog for School Library Journal, and frequent national
speaker on topics related to technology and school librarianship. We
will discuss preferred Web 2.0 technologies - what works, issues, and
the librarian's role.
For more information on how to join the meeting, see
http://blogs.cuip.net/dlis/attend-our-librarian-meetings. This meeting
will be held at the American Library Association island
(http://slurl.com/secondlife/ALA%20Island/127/103/29). Please log on
about 15 minute before the meeting and instant message me in-world as
the avatar Elaine Tulip to be teleported to the meeting or use the ALA
slurl.
Thanks,
Lisa E. Perez
