I did a paper last year in my master's program about the use of classroom libraries and found disturbingly little research that really looked at how effective school libraries really are. Certainly they could be, but the evidence is just not there.
If anyone wants a copy of the paper and the citations I used please let me know.

Once considered a school mainstay, the library is being moved into the classroom as administrators choose to use funding for other school needs.
